Remember: you are the creator of your life. The degree to which you interact or react in it, is up to you. Taking long, slow, deep breaths, practicing grounding and restoring yourself to a place of clarity and focus will help you interact more and react a whole lot less!
If you are feeling especially emotional and this grounding technique is not effectively working to change your state, try this exercise:
* From the seated position, with your eyes closed, slowly bend forward and let your upper torso relax onto your lap.
* Allow your arms to hang loosely by your side. Slowly move your head left and right, releasing any tension and come back to center.
* Slowly inhale and exhale through your nose, allowing your entire body to relax and release all thought.
* Feel any negative energy and tension drain out of your body through your hands and into the earth.
* Repeat the breathing and releasing for at least 3 minutes.
* Slowly rise back to a seated position with your eyes closed and let the blood drain back down into the rest of your body.
In just a few minutes you can feel refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to resume your day with renewed energy, a calm mind and an open spirit. Learning to work with the power of the breath can be quite useful in helping to calm and stabilize the mind, body and emotions.
