And here’s the thing. What I’m really asking is if you’ll attend the main event at 1pm Pacific and help us moderate the chat.
My goal is to have 2,000 people on the live event.
I may end up with only a couple hundred, but I like to plan for success.
And with hundreds or thousands of participants, we will get our share of smart asses, butt cracks and creepers.
And that’s where you come in!
SOME BUTT CRACKS ARE GOOD
If you are willing, I’d love for you to be a sort of guardian, policing the chat and replying to people who say negative things about women, or try to be funny but end up being rude… that sort of thing.
What you would do is chat to them and say, “Hey, @Name of Jerk, let’s please keep it positive here. There’s no tolerance for mean-spirited comments.”
Or you can share your positive experiences… Whatever feels right.
Now we can boot anyone off the chat with the click of a button, literally. But we like to give guys the benefit of the doubt and raise the bar on good behavior and show them how it’s done.
So if you are one of those people who likes to help people operate at their highest ability, we’d love to have you help us moderate the chat.
Socki from Customer Care, Tim Bratton and Russell, one of our customers who loves to support us will be on the chat to help keep it upbeat, but if you could do it too, that would be awesome.
I’m not saying we can’t take criticism or feedback. It’s just that we have a workshop to deliver. And we aim to give a lot of awesome content. So the negative people are a real distraction to Jim and I.
So let me know by replying to this email that you are available to be on the Come Together Workshop and you’d be up for replying in real time to anyone who is being a turd. But only reply in the nicest way. Help model awesome chat behavior for us. Be involved. Keep it upbeat. Be a Chat Master.
