How Genetics Affect Your Sex Life

As you know, your sexual vitality is directly tied to your overall health and vitality.

Now with analysis available from personal genomics services such as 23andMe, Ancestry.com, Family Tree DNA, and Gene By Gene we can begin to understand our genetic profile. Then we can access SNP’s databases to see how our genes affect our health, including our sexual health.

For example, if you’re suffering from thinning hair, you might have the MTHFR gene mutation. When you have it, you cannot absorb B vitamins like other people. You have a “methylation” anomaly. Your hair relies on many of the B family of vitamins for luxurious growth. Knowing you’re an MTHFR means you can take an alternative form of B vitamins that your body can absorb.
