Many of the hours of the day may fall into the category of “duty,” “responsibility,”
“errand,” “day job,” or some other category that does not lend itself
to much meaning investing and other hours may be free to be filled
with meaning. As you look at your day, you can decide how to “be” during
those hours that do not lend themselves to much meaning investing (that
is, you can take those hours as a meaning opportunity to “be” a certain
way, like accepting or contented) and what to “do” during your free hours
that supports your meaning intentions. In this way you remain existentially
aware each day of your life and do an excellent job of keeping meaning
afloat.
